INVESTMENT ACTION FOR CLOTHING AND TEXTILE SMES
“UNLOCKING THE POTENTIAL”
An Investment Grant and Capital Investment project, designed to plug the gap from traditional sources. All the features of the project are directly addressing the exploration and exploitation of technology by member smes, stimulating innovation, and creating entrepreneurs.
Available to established companies and new businesses looking to start up in the East Midlands Objective 2 area, INVACT will :
- INVEST AND SUPPORT IN BUSINESS START-UPs
Businesses can access support towards eligible start up costs. This can include:
Legal and start up fees, office equipment, machinery, computers, marketing [web & printed literature], etc. It does not include, for example, stock, wages, rent and the loan cannot be used just for cash flow purposes. The grant can be treated in different ways, please contact us prior to placing any orders.
-SUPPORT BUSINESSES WITH INNOVATION /TECHNOLOGY GRANTS directly linked to job creation/safeguards.
This element is designed to support sme investment in purchasing equipment and technology where the sme needs to react; it can also be used towards developing company activities in order to expand. The grant can be treated in different ways, please contact us prior to placing any orders.
- SUPPORT BUSINESSES WITH CAPITAL INVESTMENT LOANS
A major investment support element of this project is its GAP support - where a risk/soft Loan is given towards capital investment or used as part of a marketing strategy or to develop company activities in order to expand. A stake /the title /equity or guarantee is taken, the interest rate will be negligible and the loan will be of a fixed term, with regular reporting on progress.
Where a loan is required, either for established or new business start up companies, there is an application process to follow, which includes an enrolment/application form, the provision of a business plan [electronically] – to include a cash flow forecast for the duration of the loan - and latest set of accounts/trading statement [established companies only]. Loans of up to £4k for New Business Start ups and up to £15k for Established companies are available through the project. One of our project officers will ‘sponsor’ your application through the process, which involves appraisal and approval from an external panel.
