NEW MATERIALS RECYCLING PROJECT MATREC
EMTEX, as the lead body for Materials in the East Midlands, has secured a new recycling of materials project. This project is being part financed by the European Regional Development Fund [ERDF] through emda’s 2007-13 ERDF Competitiveness Programme.
EMTEX will run and deliver this exciting new 3 year project, which also has an element of grant funding support to SMEs.
EMMAT [EAST MIDLAND MATERIALS SECTOR] will be the brand under which the project is promoted.
The project is designed to support small to medium size companies within the East Midlands to reduce landfill and recover materials which are often discarded or not fully reclaimed.
It will support research and will engage with other specialists and organisations that the small companies will not normally connect with.
We can provide research, support, advice and solutions on any waste problems.
Free consultations and information will help any business to reduce waste and improve recovery. Free waste audits will be available as well as specific consultations and advice.
The project aims to be a catalyst providing a network and provides technical assistance in improving the business performance and brokering solutions. We will investigate Best Practices in the Recycling and Reclamation fields globally as well as in the UK and locally.
The project will hold workshops and seminars open to all on relevant topics with expert speakers from industry and academia.
Specific focus on Food, Construction, Transport and Medical Sectors, along with Plastics, Metals, Technical Textiles, Composites and other groups where a solution is required.
For more information, or for any partners or organisations wishing to engage in/be part of the project, please contact Kelly Vladi, EMTEX Ltd: 0115 9115339 or kelly@emtex.org.uk
