Leicester City Business Network Project

To Provide Free Training for SMEs

All SME companies in 10 wards of Leicester may take advantage of free training for employees through this ESF part funded project. The funding is provided to help companies in this area to increase the skills of management and staff in order to compete and thrive.

The training may be accredited or non-accredited, and is provided by experienced trainers either in the company or off site depending on the training needs and the numbers requiring training in each company.

With the exception of Retail, there is no type of business which is not eligible….Textiles, Food Preparation, Printing, etc

Training is currently being provided and planned in
Information Technology…..ITQ’s, Word, Excel, Access, Emailing, Ebay and Website workshops
Business Administration
Contact Centre Operations
Customer Service
Business Improvement Techniques
Distribution Warehousing and Storage Ops
Performing Engineering Ops
Performing Manufacturing Ops
Food Preparation and Cooking
Food and Drink Service
Hospitality Supervision

Foundation Degrees may be provided in Business and Management, Outdoor Activities Management, Motor Sport Technology, construction, Applied Computing, Polymer Technology, Business Improvement Management, Educare and Early Childhood, Health and Social Care.

There may be other training courses available subject to demand
