A project to provide a support network through which Clothing and Textile Small to Medium Enterprises will be assisted to maximise competitiveness through Global Trading. This project will assist businesses at all levels, helping them to access and reach worldwide products and markets complementing their existing production, thus generating new sales and supporting the creation and safeguarding of employment.
The project aims are to:
# Enable research into the viability of Worldwide Products and Markets.
# Provide new opportunities to traditional companies.
# Address the EMDA cluster recommendations in Outward Processing.
# Increase the use of ICT and broadband technologies by manufacturers.
# Operate Problem Solving and Advice Hotline.
# Promote environmental awareness and sustainability.
The successful implementation of Global Trading will support smes through a time of change helping them to cut costs, reduce waste, increase turnover, spread out into new markets and adopt rapidly evolving technologies.
