NADCAT was set up as a not-for-profit private limited company in late 1993. A proactive sector specific trade association, NADCAT has over 550 member companies throughout the Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire region.

Operating at a 'grass roots' level to promote and support the local clothing & textiles industry, NADCAT has developed a diverse range of projects including areas such as - sales & marketing, IT & E-commerce, education, recruitment & training, productivity enhancement & diversification, and design.

NADCAT is able to provide a comprehensive service to the clothing & textiles industry through its strong working partnerships with national & regional Government authorities, Chambers of Commerce, Education / Business Partnerships and Business Links. As well as creating and implementing its own European and UK funded projects within a cohesive regional strategy.

Now evolved to become a sister organisation to LENCAT and run within its parent organisation EMTEX, NADCAT continues to provide support to the areas clothing and textile companies and LENCAT, & NADCAT will jointly be managed by the new parent organisation EMTEX, which will then coordinate support across the whole Region.

This move consolidates clothing & textiles support for the whole of the East Midlands, allows for strengths to be combined, costs to be minimised, & the manufacturers voices to be heard.

EMTEX is always looking for new projects and funding initiatives to support its member companies, for full details of projects available to EMTEX members via NADCAT, see the 'projects section' of this website.
