WHAT IS THE DESIGNER FORUM?

The Designer Forum is a membership based support organisation for fashion & textiles that works UK-wide across all spectrums of the industry including high street retailers, designer & brand labels, manufacturers, individual designers & freelancers and academia. It also provides trend & design information to many related creative, marketing and R&D companies.

TRENDS:Offering the UK’s most comprehensive Trend Library with access to leading trend prediction publications from Carlin International, Future Laboratory, Mudpie, Nelly Rodi, Peclers Paris, Stylesight, Trendstop, as well as, an equally impressive seasonal Trend Presentation programme. The Designer Forum also offers, in conjunction with mode… information, a trends bookstore & mail order service further enhancing the Designer Forum as an essential destination for designers.

ADVICE & SUPPORT Delivering a wide range of advice & support within the areas of careers, recruitment, business start-up plus company growth & development. Designer Forum's team of specialists can assist on an individual, consultancy or project management basis.

TRAINING & COURSES:Providing a variety of specialist training & courses from one-day seminars to bespoke training programmes, all courses are industry-specific and are delivered by a team of specialists. Courses range from our popular 6-day industry course aimed at graduates & new employees to customised staff development & training schemes.

EDUCATION:Assisting academia by providing an advisory & industry liaison point, the Designer Forum runs a comprehensive programme of support from bespoke projects, industry competitions, guest lecturing & specialist modules through to educational resources & materials.

The Designer Forum is particularly proud of its amazing Student Graduate Events programme that has attracted over 4,000 attendees and has been supported by some of the key names in the industry.

Membership to the Designer Forum is free to EMTEX members, including individual designers whilst employed by an EMTEX company.
